Ross Riverside Antiques carry a small and select range of Colonial furniture with a sprinkling of Georgian and Victorian items imported directly from the UK.
Situated in the grounds of the picturesque Ross Motel located in the prettiest heritage village in Tasmania.
The Shop also carries paintings and prints including sports memorabilia with currently a small collection of original Pub mirrors. There is also the biggest collection of brewery and whisky advertising for sale in Tasmania if not Australia. Hundreds of water jugs, decanters, ashtrays, match strikers, bar figures and always a collection of Royal Doulton Kingsware.
A container of antique furniture and interesting collectables is arriving at Ross Riverside Antiques, 2 High Street, Ross, Tasmania in late July 2011. We will be unpacking the furniture, smalls, clocks and collectables over this period. The container has been sourced from the West Country and Wales in the UK.
The furniture includes oak furniture from Georgian, Victorian and the Arts & Crafts periods. Other furniture consists of mahogany tables, desks, side tables and Davenports. A wonderful selection of Georgian and Victorian boxes including sewing, desk tidies, tea caddies and writing slopes is included. Also, a good variety of rustic farmhouse items together with an interesting collection of early rocking horses. We are also eagerly awaiting the arrival of a very large, Victorian Mahogany Cylinder Top desk, a stunning Arts & Crafts Oak Dresser and small selection of wonderful Campaign furniture.
